1. Saturday Night Live to return with Ice Spice as first musical guest
Saturday Night Live is making a much-anticipated return on October 14. The show faced an uncertain future with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes bringing Hollywood to a near standstill. However, with new agreements in place, it’s now back on track. Pete Davidson will return as a guest host for season 49’s premiere. The comedian initially planned to emcee an episode last May, but the writer’s strike derailed those plans. Serving as a nine-year veteran of the comedy series, the actor left the “SNL” cast in 2022. Now, he’s making his comeback in a role he knows well.
Joining Davidson is Ice Spice, who is slated as the evening’s musical guest. Notably, this will mark the Bronx native’s second foray into television. She recently did an advertisement with Ben Affleck as a part of her partnership with Dunkin’ Donuts.

Grammy award-winning singer and performer Tems has extended her record as the most certified Nigerian female artist in the United States of America following the confirmation of two new certifications for the singer by the RIAA. The two new additions bring the total number of her certifications in the US to four, making it the highest for any female artist from Nigeria.
Tems’ single “Higher” which is off her “Leading Vibe” EP, has now been certified gold after selling over 500,000 units in the US alone, and the viral song “Free Mind” has also been certified platinum in the country after selling over 1,000,000 units in the United States of America.

The adorable images feature the baby swaddled and shots of their daughters, 3-year-old Naomi Bettie and 11-month-old Zara James, cradling their new sibling.

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been sidelined after injuring his ankle while playing against Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday. The 35-year-old striker was forced out of Barcelona’s 1-0 Champions League victory over Porto due to an ankle injury and was replaced by Ferran Torres. The club offered an update on his fitness on Thursday in a statement: “Tests carried out this morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has a left ankle sprain. He is out and his recovery will determine his availability.”
Lewandowski’s injury will prevent him from playing against Granada on Sunday, and there are fears he could miss a month, according to reports. The striker is described as being a “major doubt” for the crunch match against Real Madrid at the end of the month. Lewandowski is also expected to miss games against Athletic Bilbao and Shakhtar Donetsk after the international break.
