how-to-achieve-faux-freckles

The twists and turns in the beauty world often challenge beauty norms, ushering into the scene new standards of beauty that may have once been overlooked. One such instance is the faux freckles craze that has infected beauty enthusiasts. At one time, freckles weren’t something to aspire to with some kids being ridiculed for them. But today, they have morphed into delightful beauty spots championed by those who have embraced their distinctive appeal.

From the high fashion runways to social media, makeup artists and beauty influencers are turning to faux freckles for an understated take on natural beauty. This trend is often used as a simple method to play up a muted face beat, especially the no-makeup makeup look. It effortlessly injects character into a plain doll-up, making it a great choice for those days when you don’t want to spend a long time sitting in front of the mirror.

Influencers, primarily on TikTok, created videos to promote the trend, and it picked up like wildfire in a beauty space that currently favors subtility and charm. Numerous videos on TikTok demonstrate how to apply (and rock) faux freckles, making it easy for anyone to jump on the trend. If you’re interested in trying out this beauty fad, here’s how to achieve the faux freckles look like a pro.

HOW I DO MY FAUX FRECKLES THAT LAST ME DAYS Step by step 🧚🏼 moisturize your face 🧚🏼 choose a quality henna, don’t choose the cheapest one on amazon. I’m using Kaveri (brown). It’s 100% organic 🧚🏼 to not get the same size on every freckle I like to make bigger ones first to start with, then just dot all over the place 🧚🏼 the henna will dry within an hour but I would recommend to keep it on for minimum 3 hours before taking it off but for best result I do overnight 🧚🏼 it can be a little tricky to get all the dry henna off. If you only have it on for a few hours I would scrape it away dry (stay away from water at least for 6 hours, the longer the better), if you had it overnight you can use a cotton pad soaked in warm water 🧚🏼 the color will be light orange at first and develop to a darker brown within the first 24 hours 🧚🏼 it lasts about 4 days for me, more/less depending on how much make up/exfoliation etc Do this on your own risk!! I don’t know if it’s 100000% safe lol, do your research if you’re worried Would you try it? Tag someone who would love this!! I love it so much 🥹 . . . . #fakefreckles #fauxfreckles #hennafreckles

This influencer used the henna method to create her freckles and the result is flawless.

Product used: Kaveri Henna (brown) from Amazon.

Step 1: Use the henna to make dotted spots on your face.

Step 2: Leave it on for about 15 minutes for a darker effect.

Step 3: Gently peel off the dried henna and wash off with lukewarm water to reveal subtle faux freckles. Don’t forget to moisturize your skin right after.

This TikToker shared the hack she learned for creating faux freckles, and of course, it was quick, easy, and effective.

Things needed: Brown eyeshadow powder, small perfume bottle, and setting spray.

Step 1: Mix the eyeshadow and the setting spray, and pour mixture into the perfume bottle.

Step 2: Spray it lightly on your face depending on the amount of freckles you prefer.

Step 3: Allow it to dry.

These methods are unique and easy so feel free to explore your preference. But before applying the freckles, be sure to create a great canvas for them to shine:

  • Prepare your face by cleansing, moisturizing, and applying your primer to keep your face hydrated for your makeup.
  • Apply foundation. The use of powder foundation works best since faux freckles prefer a matte base.
  • Use any of the above methods to apply your faux freckles.
  • Set your final look with a setting spray.

NOTE: If you choose the third method, you don’t need to apply a foundation as you’ll be rinsing the henna off. This method is best when you’re heading out with a light BB cream (applied after rinsing), lipgloss, and your trusted sunscreen.

There is yet another way to make faux freckles. Using this technique, you can have permanent or semi-permanent freckles, saving you even more time. Named the Tattoo Method, it is imprinted on your skin by a professional at a beauty salon. Similar to micro-blading, this tattoo technique can last up to three years.

Isn’t it refreshing how something that was once ignored has now become a fad everyone wants to jump on?
