Last Week, The Best Beauty Looks Turned The Party On

midst all the eating, drinking, and partying that accompanied the Christmas celebrations, Black women surely remembered to put their best faces forward. Whether that was for a family get-together or a media shoot, every look was perfectly stewed for a flawless holiday beauty slay. Certainly, these women set the party tone on full vibration. 

The Looks

South African media sweetheart, Pearl Thusi, effortlessly wowed in a delicate take. Her understated look featured different tones of brown gliding across her eyes and lips. For her eyes, the actress shone in bronze and dark brown, while her lips were played up with matte tortilla brown. The look was captivating in every way.

Over in Nigeria, Toke Makinwa did justice to a glam holiday beauty slay. The look by Anita Brows brought the eyeliner trend into full gear. It features a sharp liner gracing Makinwa’s water line as well as a stroke across her upper lids. The entire look was then brought together with witchy lashes and of course, a pair of tawny-shade contact lens.

Hair

Earlier this month, we predicted that the bob hairstyle will have a moment in the sun this holiday, and boy, were we right! Everywhere we turn, celebs and influencers are showing 1001 reasons why this hairdo is a must. Last week, Tamar Braxton, and Claire Sulmers proved this in two different takes. Braxton opted for a two-tone shade of hickory and gingerbread, while Sulmers went full-on blonde. However, both agreed that the chin-grazing variation of this style is the right way to go.
