The result is a boomerang of high fashion celebrity looks such as we witnessed at The Color Purple movie premiere and other events last week
The Looks
Fantasia Taylor is exactly who she thinks herself to be. A classy display of poise is the singer’s forte. At The Color Purple movie premiere, she turned heads in a polka-dot coordination that spoke elegance fluently. Featuring a peplum blazer and a matching maxi skirt with a train, the ensemble married well with her sheer gloves and chic jewelry.
We can all agree that The Color Purple ladies opened a chronicle of slaying this season. Unassuming silhouettes, superior textures, and interesting color plays are all summed up to concoct groundbreaking red carpet ensembles that pass the vibe check. The stunning Taraji P. Henson did just this in a Vlora Mustafa avant-garde number at the movie premiere. The sleeves/neckline of the dress were an elaborate show of creativity etched on a snatched corset bodice. Held in a sleek updo, her hair gave room for her Bulgari Serpenti necklace to add sparkle to the sophisticated number.
Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage attended the British Fashion Award in a mini bustier dress paired with a sheer veil by Valdrin Sahiti. The sleeveless number was a blend of feminine and edgy and delivered coy badass in a way that pulled our heart’s strings. The Black Barbie paired the outfit with black Christian Louboutin heels with feather applique and finished the conversation with braids for the culture. Indeed, Ms. Savage was a full-course meal.
