Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir Davis welcomed their daughter on Wednesday, February 8. The couple announced the birth of their second child together via Instagram on Thursday. “Our little princess is here! Beautiful & Healthy,” Keyshia captioned a heartwarming hospital photo with her husband and newborn daughter. The proud mom went on to reveal their baby girl’s name: Iceland Ka’oir Davis.

Gucci Mane also took to Instagram to share the exciting birth announcement with his fans. “I’m so thankful that my baby girl is here and she [is] so pretty and healthy,” he happily captioned a carousel of images, including a photo showing him planting a smooch on his wife’s lips. The lovebirds welcomed their baby boy Ice Davis in December 2020.

Congratulations to the growing family!

2. Tems’ ‘Found’ set to receive RIAA certification

Nigerian international sensation Tems is set to add another RIAA plaque to her collection with her single “Found,” which has exceeded over 500,000 in sales. In the news reported by chart news platform Chart Data, Tems’ “Found” has surpassed 500,000 units in sales in the United States. The single features Brent Faiyaz and it was one of the songs on her EP, “If Orange Was A Place,” released in 2021.

The single is now eligible for a gold certification in the US which will be Tems’ third solo certification following “Free Mind” and “Higher” which have both been certified gold.

3. South Africa: AKA calls himself the ‘greatest SA hip hop producer’

Rapper and record producer AKA shared a series of tweets in which he proposed that he has a case for being the greatest SA hip-hop producer of all time. While AKA is a household name in South Africa for his talent as a rapper, not many know that he’s also a prolific producer in his own right. “Statistically speaking … since I’ve produced 90% of all my music … surely I am the greatest SA Hip Hop producer of all time. Statistically,” he tweeted.

However, he noted that the only blemish on his résumé is that he hasn’t produced for many other artists. “I mean yeah I haven’t produced for as many OTHER artists as I should have … I guess that can be the only criticism. I always just wanted to keep all the hottest s*** for myself.”

4. Billboard & Vibe rank Jay Z as the greatest rapper of all time

JAY-Z has been named the greatest rapper of all time by Billboard and VIBE, and as is usually the case with Hip Hop rankings, it has caused quite a stir. The publications began rolling out their list of Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time last month as part of a collaborative effort to celebrate Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary this year. After showing love to the likes of Kanye West, André 3000, Lauryn Hill, Ice Cube, Rakim, LL COOL J, and Black Thought across its No. 50 to No. 11 picks, Billboard and VIBE unveiled their final 10 selections on Wednesday, February 8.

Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Lil Wayne, and The Notorious B.I.G. were ranked No. 10 to No. 6, in that order, while Eminem, 2Pac, Nas, and Kendrick Lamar occupied the No. 5 to No. 2 slots. But coming in at No. 1 on the list was an MC who is no stranger to being hailed as the greatest rapper of all time: JAY-Z. Billboard argued its case by citing Hov’s commercial success, critical acclaim, cultural impact, and entrepreneurial greatness, along with his “regal-scented rhymes that speak to the struggle.”

5. FA charges Man Utd & Crystal Palace

Manchester United and Crystal Palace have been charged for a mass brawl that led to Casemiro’s red card on Saturday at Old Trafford. The Football Association has confirmed both clubs have been fined for a mass brawl during Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League. The clash saw Casemiro sent off after grabbing Will Hughes by the throat. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was critical of the decision to show the midfielder the red card and felt referee Andre Marriner had picked on the Brazilian specifically.

Casemiro has already been hit with a three-match ban for violent conduct and was forced to sit out the Red Devils’ 2-2 draw with Leeds, his absence hurting a midfield that looked disjointed with first-time pairing Fred and Marcel Sabitzer. The Brazilian will also miss United’s trip to Elland Road at the weekend and the visit from Leicester City.
