Check out 26 essential grooming tips for men…
A – Antioxidants

The human body naturally produces free radicals which are not so good for you. To get this under control, antioxidants are great as they benefit the body by neutralizing and removing the free radicals from the bloodstream.
How then do you get your antioxidants? Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. They contain antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E to help offset any damage caused.
B – Bugs

To ward off annoying mosquitoes and bugs, an option is to get lost in a mist of insecticides. However, this isn’t quite good for you. A desirable alternative would be to pull on the power of facial hair by opting for a beard oil that contains insect-repelling oils like citronella or black pepper.
C – Cold sores
Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus. Once this virus is in you, it can cause outbreaks of cold sores. These outbreaks are often triggered by exposure to hot sun, cold wind, a cold or other illness, a weak immune system, changing hormone levels, or even stress. Treatment can be done with products that have Benzalkonium Chloride as their active ingredients.
D – Dry Shampoo

Sun, heat and the friction caused by caps and hats can stimulate the scalp’s sebaceous glands to produce more oil. This can be remedied in an instant with a dry shampoo. Apply this shampoo to the roots where hair tends to be greasiest. Doing so will also help keep your hair clean and smelling fresh.
E – Emergency measures
For the man who’s always on the move and often forgets to pack things, worry not! In those days you forget to pack a toothbrush, clean your teeth with a slice of lime dipped in salt. What if you forget your shaving cream? Well, hair conditioner makes a superb emergency shave cream.
F – Fragrance

As the weather gets cooler, sweat is not as much as in the hotter seasons. However, that doesn’t make fragrances less important. You can play with your scents with citrus, lemon, grapefruit and bergamot notes.
G – Grease
If you have oily skin, then you’re familiar with the shiny T-zone (the area of the face comprising the forehead, nose, and chin). You can take off this shine by using a mattifying, oil-absorbing moisturizer.
H – Hydration

Skin that’s properly hydrated has 80 per cent water in the dermis, 70 per cent in the epidermis and 13 per cent in the outermost layer. As our sins and lifestyles differ, some lose moisture more than others, so ensure you’re adequately hydrated from within. Eating plenty of fruit and veg is the best way to stay hydrated, as these release moisture slowly and steadily.
I – In-flight grooming
For the traveling man, the low humidity in aircraft cabins can rob skin of essential moisture, leaving it dry and tight. Be sure to drink plenty of water as you go easy on dehydrating tea, coffee, and alcohol, and freshen your skin with a moisturizing spritz. Grooming tips for men.
J – Jet lag

Being jet lagged can cause your skin to look washed out from lack of sleep. However, this can be minimized by eating and sleeping according to the time zone you arrive in, rather than the one you left, even if that means being temporarily hungry or having to stay awake.
K – Kissers

Lips are especially prone to sun damage and men are especially susceptible because they don’t wear lipstick. Protect lips with a balm that packs a sunscreen.
L – Lobster skin
Excessive exposure to the sun can cause damage to the DNA and can lead to dangerous cell mutations. Calamine lotion, painkillers and an antioxidant A, C and E vitamin supplements will help soothe skin, ease the pain and neutralize dangerous free radical molecules created by the damage.
M – Moles
Melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) is twice as common in young women as in young men, but more men die from it because they don’t spot the signs early enough. With this in mind, keeping an eye on moles is essential. Look out for changes in size or color, irregular edges, itching, bleeding or moles that become asymmetrical in appearance.
N – Nudity
Parts of the body that rarely see the light of day are especially vulnerable to sun damage. So, if in the hotter seasons, you bare it all at the beach, be sure to pack a good sunscreen in your beach bag. Sprays are usually the best as they have more coverage.
O – Ocean

Swimming in the sea might be good for the soul, but it’s not so good for the skin. If however, you do get into the water, be sure to shower with fresh water and towel dry. This is because salty water will leave the skin dehydrated, causing sun damage and premature aging.
P – Polish
Everybody needs TLC and an exfoliating body scrub will remove dead skin cells, smooth out dry patches and improve the look and feel of your skin.
Q – Quinoa
You may not have heard of this but it is a protein-packed grain that looks a bit like couscous, is as versatile as rice, and tastes delicious on its own. Quinoa is gluten-free and loaded with amino acids, antioxidants, Lysine (essential for the synthesis of collagen) and anti-inflammatory phytonutrients, making it the perfect skin food.
R – Rashes
Sunlight can react with a host of ingredients commonly found in grooming products, often leading to skin sensitivity rashes and burning. Be sure to spend less time in the sun and if you do have rashes, treat them with OTC medication. However, if it’s too serious, do see a doctor.
S – Sunscreen

Choosing the right sunscreen is as important as choosing the right life insurance; in fact, given the dangers of sunburn, sunscreen is life insurance. For high protection, best to use one with a Broad-Spectrum SPF50.
T – Travelling light
When space is at a premium, packing light becomes essential. This can be done by decanting grooming products into travel bottles.
U – Unkempt feet
Terrible-looking feet are absolutely unforgivable. The key to getting this right is to ensure any dry skin that’s been building up is removed. In addition, frequent pedicure is a must.
V – Virus
Viruses are picked up off damp floors, so wear flip-flops when you’re walking around wet areas or in communal areas. They’ll help you avoid other nasties like athlete’s foot, too.
W – Waxed underarms
If you want to stay fresher for longer, simply trim your armpit hair. The longer it is, the more moisture it’ll retain and the more odor-causing bacteria it will harbor. Wax them if you are brave enough to brace the sting.
X – X rated
Nobody wants to see hair spilling out of your shorts. So save the world by keeping them trimmed and tidy. Arm yourself with a decent body hair trimmer as it will come in handy always.
Y – Yoghurt

It doesn’t matter if you are drinking it or applying it to burns, yoghurt is definitely good for you either way. Plain yoghurt is better than a fruit-infused one, obviously.
Z – Zzzzzz
According to research, the optimum time for the body to repair itself is between the hours of 11 pm and 3 am. So make sure you get enough rest every night. To look your best with minimum effort, apply a night cream just before bed.
