It is that time of the year again; a time filled with festivities, gift giving, parties and so much more, all leading the road straight to Christmas and the end of the year. Regardless of personal beliefs and religion, almost every one can feel the infectious spirit of celebrations in the air. It’s become common tradition for love birds to take advantage of the season to tie the knot and celebrate their love. One of our favourite out of the most recent weddings is that between Gregorian rapper Bera and fashion blogger Nanuka Gudavadze.
The beautiful ceremony took place in the ancient Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in the town of Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia. The lovely orthodox ceremony was a private affair which had strong security measures taken with doors all closed behind the visitors which led to discussions around this on social media as fans pondered on why.
The Georgian artist not too long ago worked with Nigerian Afro Reggae musician Patoranking – who was in attendance – on what easily became one of our favourite collaborations of 2018. Bera is the son of Georgian billionaire businessman and leader of the ruling party “Georgian Dream,” Bidzina Ivanishvili while his bride Nanuka Gudavadze is the daughter of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s close friend.
The couple got engaged in September after dating for several months. The engagement was made known through an Instagram post by the rapper who posted a photo of his girlfriend with the caption:
“And what before had been mine and yours, has now become ours”
