Welcome to November! October may have passed but it was one of those months where profound happenings took place and we will like to reflect on it.
The past month was the Breast Cancer Awareness month and it had an impact on different sectors as the fight against cancer is an important collective effort by all. Expectedly, the fashion industry plays a big role in the fight against breast cancer and celebrates pink October all month to bring awareness to the disease.
One of the top highlights for this year’s pink October was Afua Rida X House of Damaris beautiful creation of a pink fashion line. Afua Rida is a Ghanian Blogger and Fashion Show Producer and one of the continent’s finest. She teamed up with the House of Damaris Fashion House, Ghana, to curate a pink-themed campaign to create awareness for breast cancer in Africa.
The campaign saw Afua donned in clean presentations of various shades of pink in designs ranging from maxis, to a traditional set, a turbaned look and and cut-out florals.
As our way of saying goodbye to October and in support of the fight against breast cancer, we will like to reflect on the Afua Rida X House of Damaris campaign.
