May couldn’t come any quicker in Germany as the model of the moment, Gigi Hadid, has just been revealed as the cover girl for Vogue Germany, May 2016. While it may be her first time appearing on the cover of Vogue Germany, this marks her 12th Vogue international cover. That’s quite a record for a young model!
Looking as naturally made-up as could be, Gigi serves a series of sultry shots with the refreshing innocence she so easily portrays. The images were shot by photographer Camilla Akrans. It’s an honor of which Gigi was very proud; on Instagram, she posted the issue’s cover shot with the caption “GERMAN VOGUE!!”
The model appears quite bare-faced, making it look like she gave her face a product break between red carpet appearances. It’s all very serene, and the hair is perfectly imperfect with all those sticky-uppies in one of the shots, making this a refreshing one for her. The most embellished thing on her face is a pair of extremely blingy pimp shades.
For what it’s worth, being zero at this point, some people on the internet are talking about how she looks “fat” without makeup, which is predictably a ridiculous reaction with a cover this natural. We think it’s marvelous. The mood board probably had images of Beyonce is saying I woke up like dis, but with a disclaimer saying “not hungover.”
