Contemporary Afro-European label, Ayo Van Elmar has unveiled celebrated Nigerian actress Funke Akindele, popularly known as Jenifa as its new face. As an ace thespian, the multifaceted actress has received several awards and recognition for her hard work and versatility in Nollywood.

Highlighting the rationale behind the arrangement, Ayo Elizabeth Olaogun, the Creative Director of Ayo Van Elmar stated that Ms. Akindele is an exciting muse and a source of inspiration as she embodies the strength of the African woman and resounds the aesthetics of Ayo Van Elmar.
Ayo Van Elmar is a fast emerging brand that was launched in May 2011 and has indeed grown in leaps and bounds since its fashion business operations commenced in Nigeria in October 2013. The brand’s style can be described as an Afro-European fusion fashion inspired by the creative director’s cross-cultural experience.
The fashion brand recently explored the world of men’s fashion at the first edition of Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria 2016, and has successfully showcased collections at the Nigeria, Vienna, Lagos, Ghana and London fashion weeks. In the recent past, Ayo Van Elmar was contracted to design the wardrobe for TV shows like Nigeria’s Got Talent 2012 and Glo X-Factor West Africa 2013.
Although headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the brand is physically present in Nigeria and open to fashionistas at the Ayo Van Elmar Fashion Café in the lobby of the New Wing, Lagos Oriental Hotel – 3 Lekki Road, Victoria Island.
