Five years ago, Jeremy Meeks’ mug shot went viral on social media and this has led to numerous modeling gigs. This time around, German textile company Fashion Concept GmbH has announced a new partnership with the ‘hot felon’ worth $15 Million dollars.
The collaboration would involve developing a clothing collection with Jeremy Meeks who has walked for the German fashion designer Philip Plein as well as Tommy Hilfiger and others. Described as “a high-end fashion label,” the collection may make its debut as early as December 2019 according to the video on the convict-turned-model’s Instagram page.
According to the Fashion Concept GmbH’s website,
“With innovative textile developments and authentic design Jeremy Meeks meets the spirit of the time. In addition to the focus on iconic styles, unmistakably casual influences come into their own. Thus, our collections not only become an integral part of international fashion suppliers, but also coveted It-pieces and accessories with a very special attitude.”
Jeremy Meeks, with over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, earned the title of ‘hot felon’ when a mugshot from his arrest in 2014, which came as a result of a weapons sweep in Stockton, California, went viral online. With media outlets and social media users fawning over his piercing blue eyes, tear-drop face tattoo and chiseled features, Meeks soon signed a much-anticipated modeling contract with White Cross Management in March of 2016. Since then, with the exception of a split from his ex-wife, it’s been mostly upward turns for the father of two, who shares a son with Chloe Green, the daughter of businessman Philip Green.
