Last Week The Best Dressed Stars Applied Sassy Pressure

T

he obliteration of bulky attire is finally in full swing—and all style lovers understand it’s the season for chic, lighter-weight pieces. Yes, the hot girl era of the spring/summer season has just begun. The Easter weekend had celebrities across the board serving major looks—whether it was for an Easter baddie shoot or an upbeat event. Last week, we also spotted some of the most fashionable Black stars making press rounds for the latest projects. For instance, Mary. J. Blige served several slay cards as she promoted her book, “Mary Can,” proving to us that Mary Can indeed unapologetically hold up her style game.

The Looks

Talented actress Taraji P. Henson was spotted doing press rounds for her Abbot Elementary appearance last week, and it’s safe to say she went all out. Although Henson’s most viral moment this past week was her dramatic Marc Jacobs SS23 look with platform sandals, the snappy Coperni dress and René Caovilla snake strap sandals were a softer rendering. This sexy and simple look resonated better with her style and was of course, relatable.

One thing is certain, Chloe Bailey didn’t spend much time at home last week. From The Tonight Show to the Praise This movie premiere, the star girl served looks as sizzling as they come. Ms. Bailey rocked a Gaurav Gupta couture dress with swirls, layers, and a daring high slit. The corset feature kept things snatched, and Lil’ Miss Attitude confidently rocked her braids and curves with class.

Singer Coco Jones took the Easter celebration to heart with beguiling shots she posted on her Instagram page. She did well to pair a little black dress with bunny headgear, and matching pumps, making the Easter slay her own thing. A little black leather dress and pumps will always teleport you to sass level without second thoughts.
