Last Week’s Best Beauty Looks Celebrated Femininity In Various Renditions

pring officially kicked off last week and it became obvious that it triggered Black Queens to raise the tempo on all things beauty—matching the energy of the rising temps. As some of the girls shook things up with fierce takes, others favored subtle glam looks, but none dropped on the scoreboard due to her preference. From the gray carpet of the Fashion Trust US gala to the virtual streets of Instagram, the mission was to bloom in authentic beauty looks and the stars didn’t disappoint.

The Looks

One of the beauty trends for Spring 2023 is bold lipstick, and Kat Graham made a case for this trend at the Fashion Trust US gala held in Los Angeles. The star graced the carpet in a sultry number emphasized by imposing bracelets, rings, and earrings. But the icing on the stand-out cake was her face beat characterized by dark eyes punctuated with shimmering eyeshadow and bold lips. If you want to make an unmissable statement, this star girl definitely shows how it’s done.

For every yin, there’s a yang. Even the beauty gods agree. As Graham championed a fierce offering last week, Sabrina Elba favored a soft doll-up at the same event. The model chose to keep her skin as the center of attention by opting for a minimalist beat only highlighted by a sharp winged liner. 

Hair

The Fashion Trust US gala surely wasn’t the only place things went down as even the Instagram streets received some of the heat as well. Last week, Porsha Guobadia announced the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls’ Trip now streaming on Peacock as she debuted a sultry pixie cut. The hairstyle with sleek edges was the right call for her sheer figure-accentuating jumpsuit.
