A passionate writer, self proclaimed chef and lover of music…
Sandra Mansour‘s ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2018 collection is a dreamy delight. It is obvious the Lebanese designer drew inspirations from the bloom of spring and the beauty of summer. The Elie Saab trained designer’s ethereal pieces makes her collection a destination for special occasions.
The designer cited that this season’s SS18 Ready-To-Wear Collection was all about “swimming pools, David Hockney and the colorful, surrealist work of Rita Kernn-Larsen as her inspiration.”
Mansour’s matching sets and gowns are made from shimmering water-like fabrics, saturated floral prints and of course the most obvious – sheer. Despite the constant use of sheer fabric by many a designer, Mansour still ventures into this terrain and is able to bring out pulsating vibrant pieces that have feminine textures, cool colours and an electrifying aura. Mansour’s fine art skills also come into play in this collection with the embroidery patterns and the provision of a personal touch. We have no doubt that this collection would appeal to the women who are totally in tune with their femininity.
