re you ready for more adventures in the beautiful city of Paris? Fans of the hit Netflix show “Emily in Paris” certainly are. And many are eagerly waiting for a fourth season (find me gallantly in that queue). After all, who doesn’t love watching Lily Collins’ portrayal of Emily Cooper, a young and ambitious marketing executive from Chicago who moves to the city of love for her dream job? Don’t forget all the drama and romance that comes with it.
The series, created by Darren Star, premiered on Netflix in October 2020 and quickly became a fan favorite. The show follows the story of Emily as she navigates her new job and personal life in Paris. All these while also exploring themes of culture clash and identity.
Throughout the first three seasons, fans have come to know and love Emily Cooper, her friends, colleagues, and love interests. With a cliffhanger ending of Season 3, we are not sure of the fate of Alfie and Emily’s relationship. The crowd is split between #TeamGabriel and #TeamAlfie. Fans have been waiting for closure between the two, this chemistry could be explored further in a new season.
The “will they, won’t they?” dynamic between the two had fans on the edge of their seats in Season 3. We all deserve to know if they will end up together. Poor Alfie! Emily’s professional and personal struggles, and her possible relocation to another city, could be further developed in a new season. I’m officially clamoring for more depth to the character and her story.
