#Glowup! 10 Easy And Effective Skincare Tips For Dry Skin

I‘m not going to sugarcoat this. All-round dry skin or dry patches could make you lose confidence and have you withdrawing into your shell, but things don’t have to remain that way. With a few tips, you can have your very own dry skin treatment sessions at home. It’s time to call off the pity party and start doing the things that will help you discover the beautiful skin you have beneath all the dryness.

Dry skin could be caused by a number of issues like genetics, the weather, stress, skin care products, or diet. While its causes vary, many of them are actually under your control. The difference between a person with great skin and another with scaly, dry skin is found in the level of commitment they have toward living and looking right. So, rather than complain about the state of your skin, you can take simple steps to correct the situation and have soft, supple skin. Isn’t that every girl’s dream?

I regret taking good care of my skin,” said no one ever but we see a lot of people with dry skin regret their lifestyle choices. The good news is that your skin can be revived and that glow-up you envy can actually be yours. That’s why we have curated this list of the top most effective 10 skin care tips for dry skin. You’re welcome.

Check out 10 easy tips to help with your dry skin treatment at home…

#1. Use a gentle face cleanser

The skin on the face is sensitive, and when you add dryness to that it makes matters even more touchy. Considering the variety of reactions that dry skin is prone to, it is important to only use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser on your face. When using, apply enough cleanser to remove dirt and oil, but avoid using so much that you end up with a super thick lather.

#2. Wear lip balm

Dry, chapped lips are a big no-no. Girls with dry skin know how annoying, and uncomfortable constant flaky lips get, but this can be fixed. Always wear a lip balm, even when you aren’t headed out because this helps to keep your lips supple and get rid of that annoying dryness. Opt for deep moisturizing lip balms as they offer a heavy dose of moisture to keep the dryness away. If the balm stings or tingles, discontinue use and choose one that doesn’t give this reaction.

In addition, having regular lip scrub sessions will help get rid of dead skin to reveal softer, more supple lips. Plus, they make it easier for the lip balm to be even more potent.

#3. Choose your makeup products wisely

By now you understand that anything that comes in contact with your skin should be double-checked in order to avoid things spiraling out of control. Whether it’s your skin care products, laundry products, or makeup, everything should be gentle and take your skin into account. Speaking of makeup, it is wise to favor products that offer moisturizing benefits. Moisture is never a bad idea!

#4. Exfoliate regularly

To get rid of dead cells and ensure that fresh skin is revealed, exfoliate regularly. You can use skin care products or natural remedies like honey mixed with sugar. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells, thus, your skin becomes visibly moisturized.

#5. Avoid hot showers/baths

Hot water is not a friend to your dry skin as it breaks down the lipid barriers in the skin, which decreases moisture. To help alleviate dry skin, take shorter showers using warm water. This will help your skin retain its natural moisture.

#6. Stay hydrated

We just can’t say it enough. Drinking water flushes out toxins that could cause breakouts and makes the skin glow. Stay committed to drinking at least eight glasses of water each day and you won’t believe what you see when you look in the mirror.

#7. Eat fruits and healthy meals

Your eating habits go a long way in reflecting on your skin, so stay away from junk and unhealthy food. Rather, consume more healthy foods like fruits and vegetables as they’re not only good for your health but also your skin. If you have to create a feeding routine to aid consistency, by all means. It’s totally worth it.

#8. Avoid harsh skin care products

Another dry skin treatment is to mind what you use on your skin. Good skincare products are definitely not an expense, but rather an investment. By consistently being aware of what you use on your skin, you make better-informed decisions and your skin will thank you for it. In addition, they help to keep the signs of aging at bay. If you ask me, that’s a win.

#9. Always moisturize

It’s never been attractive to come out with dusty, white, or cracked skin and it won’t start now. When you religiously stick to a skincare regime, which includes a good moisturizer, you will witness your skin come alive. Doesn’t that sound great? Tip: Moisturise your skin immediately after shower/bath when your pores are still open to receive all that nourishment. A moisturizer a day keeps the scales away.

#10. Plug in a humidifier

Putting moisture back into your home’s air helps prevent extremely dry skin, especially during dry seasons. Invest in a good humidifier and leave it on throughout the night. Your skin will be eternally grateful.
