Nigerian model, lifestyle content creator, and actor, Denola Grey is one of the new faces of Fenty Beauty. This year, Rihanna’s makeup line, Fenty Beauty, announced that it was in search of models. The brand boycotted talent agencies, asked people to send entries, and made the choice themselves. Denola Grey was one of the seven people chosen. Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most fashionable men, Denola is ready to make a splash in the international fashion scene. This partnership means he will take center stage in various billboards, ads, and campaigns that will be seen around the globe. His impeccable sense of style is bound to captivate audiences worldwide.

The announcement video was captioned “Last year, we decided to bypass booking models the traditional way and instead, partnered with Boots UK to find a select group of Fenty Faces to feature in our upcoming Boots UK campaign. We went through thousands of entries to find these 7 winners who truly reflect the Fenty brand ethos inside and out. Say hello to the new additions to our Fenty Fam, Nicky, Christian, Denola, Sahara, Maxine, Kez, and Priscilla.”

2. Judge overturns Adidas court order freezing $75M held by Kanye’s Yeezy brand

A federal judge on Friday, lifted a court order Adidas secretly won last year that froze $75 million in bank accounts held by Kanye West’s Yeezy brand — ruling that the sneaker giant ran afoul of procedural requirements and “deprived” Yeezy of a fair chance to challenge the freeze. A week after the federal case against Yeezy was made public, Judge Valerie E. Caproni ruled that Adidas had failed to “confirm” the order against Yeezy with additional proceedings in court — a key requirement under the state law that allows such asset freezes.

The judge said the freeze on Yeezy’s bank accounts was not only lifted but that it had actually been “rendered null some six months ago when Adidas failed timely to move to confirm the order.” Adidas filed the case against Yeezy on November 11, just weeks after the German sneaker company publicly terminated its long-standing relationship with the embattled rapper (sometimes known as Ye) in the wake of his antisemitic statements and other erratic behavior.

Multi-award-winning musician Makhadzi, who broke up with her boyfriend and fellow musician, Master KG, about eight months ago, seems to have channeled that heartache into making a new album — which is all about her ex. She took to her social media to share the news with fans while giving them a taste of what was to come. The lyrics of the new song translate in English to: “Where ever you go, be happy (x2). They should nurse you well (x2), your new-found love should love you abundantly (x2), and treat you well (x2). We’re now new to the world (x2), because you’re new to someone, I’m also new to someone else.”

Accompanied by a video clip of her sobbing, she wrote in the caption: “Dear ex please move on and be happy, I am not crying because I still love you, I am crying because is not easy to start a new chapter of life. I wish you all the best! We must make sure our new partners treat us well so we can never think of turning back. Are you ready for my album!🥹🔥”

Simi is set to release her first single of 2023, “Stranger” on June 9. The announcement was made on her Instagram page where she asked her fans if they were excited about the upcoming release. “Stranger” comes off the back of her last single “Christmas Something” released in December 2022. Simi recently performed at the Tribeville Fest where she dazzled fans with a selection of her hit singles. She’s also set to go on tour with Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys on her “Keys To The Summer” Tour.

Having been away from the scene in 2023, “Stranger” is set for release on June 8 and it’s surely going to remind listeners of Simi’s stellar songwriting and the infectious melody with which she has captivated the hearts of listeners across the world.

5. Lionel Messi to leave PSG as World Cup winner’s departure on a free transfer confirmed by Christophe Galtier

PSG boss Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season. Galtier confirmed this amid an eye-watering offer from Saudi Arabia that would see him go head-to-head with Cristiano Ronaldo once again. Barcelona have also been linked with a potential move to sign Messi, but that deal appears to be dead, while the Premier League has also been touted as a shock destination.

Galtier said of Messi leaving: “I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont [on June 3].” Messi has been in fine form this season, contributing 16 goals and 16 assists in Ligue 1, but he is now poised to take on a new challenge. The most likely destination for the World Cup winner appears to be Saudi Arabia, as he took an unsanctioned trip to the nation earlier this season, and was subsequently suspended by his club. In addition, the president of the Saudi FA has gone on record to confirm the country’s interest.
