Dance Queen Korra Obidi Flaunts Her Baby Bump In Style

Dance Queen Korra Obidi

Making the decision to have a baby is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body and that is why we are gushing at Korra Obidi’s bold baby bump and how she carries it so effortlessly. Asides being an expectant mother, Korra Obidi is many other things; the Los Angeles-based Delta princess is a professional dancer, actress, singer and model. In 2017, she was nominated as Africa’s Best Dancer at AFRIMMA Awards.

The ever-vibrant 24-year-old took to social media to announce her pregnancy in February 2019 with the caption I think I ate too much, Korra don carry belle, Shakara don start, E no dey ever end” – and ever since our timelines have been on fire because Korra shows no signs of slowing down.

She has been serving us blinding selfies and dance videos that would make you drop that burger and head to the gym without any more excuses.

Korra is happily married to Justin Dean, a  sports therapist and chiropractor, who is highly supportive of his wife’s art and does not hesitate to show the world. He is ever present in her posts putting “haters” in their place and dropping couple-goals-worthy comments.

Speaking of her husband’s support for her, Korra shared: “once one was married to one’s true love, the burden of pregnancy would be shared” and this is true as his Instagram-proven support is undeniably worthy of emulation. When your partner supports you with the strength to achieve anything you want in life, that’s true love.

Korra was trained as a professional dancer in Cairo and Lagos under the tutelage of Priti Mastakar, an Odissi dancer and teacher. Little wonder why at 6 months, Korra can still belly dance like the pro she is and her baby bump could pass for an overfed belly. Considering that dance in itself is a form of exercise, we are without doubt that she would have a smooth delivery.

Korra recently reacted to some social media attacks on her being pregnant and still dancing with this message “Research shows that dancing is a great cardio exercise during pregnancy. I have not stopped dancing because I became pregnant. Literacy is essential, before putting out your opinions about a subject, do the adequate research.”

Korra, who believes strongly in girl power and the potential of a woman, strives to be one of the pioneering women who break barriers and carve niches for themselves irrespective of any limitation. She has a strong passion to support young women in their art. They say the husband-man shall be the first partaker as she is partaking of a strong support system during her pregnancy journey.

She is not the least short of female support herself as her bestie, Elma Godwin, who has been a significant figure in her life stands as strong as a pillar for her. These two take to the streets attending shows like Coachella and basically goofing around on social media. This is aspiring and any woman who has a supportive partner and friends in this season of life is indeed blessed.
