On Monday, November 20, a Los Angeles judge ruled there’s enough evidence for A$AP Rocky to stand trial over allegations he discharged a firearm at former friend A$AP Relli in 2021. According to reports, Superior Court Judge M.L. Villar revealed her finding during a preliminary hearing, which followed around a day and a half of testimony. The Harlem rapper previously pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. His defense attempted to cast doubt while questioning witnesses, including Relli, who alleged that his former friend and collaborator shot him during a dispute.
The charges stem from a November 2021 incident where Rocky allegedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at A$AP Relli, the plaintiff in the case, and fired multiple times following a “heated discussion.” Legal documents reveal that Relli filed a civil lawsuit for assault, battery, and emotional distress against the 35-year-old on August 10, 2022. He has denied all claims of wrongdoing.
5. Former Man Utd star Jesse Lingard continues search for next club following unsuccessful Saudi Pro League trial
Jesse Lingard vowed that “even the hardest days will eventually pass” amid his search for a new club after an unsuccessful Saudi Pro League trial. The former Manchester United forward is keeping no stone unturned to remain in shape, as he remains adamant about securing a new opportunity to revive his fading career. Lingard has been without a club since his contract was not renewed by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season, but he is putting in the hard yards at the training ground to make the most of any opportunity that might pop up.
Lingard offered himself to West Ham and underwent training with his former club, where he hoped to impress David Moyes. However, things did not fall into place, and the London club refrained from extending a contract offer to the ex-England international. Subsequently, he was in talks for a potential move to Saudi Arabia, having trained with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, but negotiations reportedly collapsed due to disagreements over wage terms.
