Cynthia Abila Celebrates The Value Of The African Woman With Her SS19 Collection | #HLFW18

A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2018 runway shows kicked off after a 5-hour wait on Thursday, October 25th. With the long wait over, fashion enthusiasts were glad to finally view the collections as they made their way down the runway. One of such collections was Abuja-based fashion house, Cynthia Abila, known for her flair for movement in designs and her celebration of the poise and elegance of womanhood.
Cynthia Abila started off the show with a brief documentary on the value of the African woman and her collection did justice to the message by playing the same beat. The collection built on her preferred use of the krukrubite fabric from the riverine people of south-south Nigeria.
The collection features a dominance of vibrant colours in flowing silhouettes and fluid patterns. From summer-worthy outfits to swimwear, to chic and elaborate pieces for the modern boss lady, Cynthia Abila ensured that the collection is suitable for women of varying shapes and sizes.
