Ckay Joins Forces With Davido, Focalistic And, Abidoza To Give Us ‘Watawi,’ A Certified Summer Jam + More New Trending Afrobeat Songs

Summer is almost here and Afrobeat artists are making sure we are not lacking the proper hits to take us through the ultimate season of fun. Just as we had Love Nwantiti last summer, Ckay has collaborated with certified hitmakers Davido, Focalistic, and Abidoza on Watawi, an SR-approved groovy club jam.

YBNL signee and rave of the moment, Asake is also not slowing down. The singer blesses fans once again with another track titled Peace Be Unto You. As if that wasn’t enough, e proceeded to accompany the audio with a very entertaining video that ticks all the right boxes — cinematography, knockout sound, and of course, A-grade directing. With all these releases, we perceive it’ll surely be one heck of a wavy summer.

#1. Ckay ft. Davido, Focalistic, and Abidoza – Watawi

CKay, who is most known for his popular song Love Nwantiti has returned with a new song titled Watawi, which features a stellar array of guest performers. Through their ability as collaborators, Nigerian powerhouse Davido, South African amapiano singer Focalistic, and Abidoza, another South African musician and rapper, all contributed to the artist’s work. Per the words of Ckay, Watawi promises to be a summer jam that will spread across the continent.

#2. Mayorkun – Certified Loner (No Competition)

Days after the release of the snippet which went viral on Twitter and TikTok, and fans began asking for the release of the song, singer and songwriter Mayorkun has finally dropped Certified Loner (No Competition). In the groovy amapiano song, Mayorkun sings about being in no competition with anyone and how he’s good on his own. Months ago, rumors broke out that he had left Davido Music Worldwide. Is this him confirming the rumors?

#3. Asake – Peace Be Unto You

Mr. Money, as he calls himself, thrills his beloved fans with a new song titled Peace Be Unto You — an impressive track that’s a follow-up to his recent-featured hit Palazzo by DJ Spinall. Asake shows no plans of slowing the pace as he delivers on the new tune while still enjoying the back-to-back buzz as his latest releases continue to make waves. PBUY is accompanied by a music video that showcases Asake’s vibe as a street hit singer.

#4. Young Jonn – Normally

Talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer, Young Jonn has just released a lovely song titled Normally. This song is from his newly released four-track EP, Love Is Not Enough. #5. Chris Brown ft. Wizkid – Call Me Everyday

American singer/songwriter Chris Brown unveils his new album titled Breezy and on it is his brand new single with Wizkid named Call Me Everyday. Wizkid and Chris Brown have teamed up on a couple of hit songs in the past and this one just further proved a known fact that they are an incomparable duo. Call Me Everyday comes right on the heels of the singer releasing a teaser to the song some days back which threw social media into a frenzy.
