On Tuesday, August 1, fashion maven Ciara announced her new collection with Gap and LoveShackFancy which features a 76-piece capsule inspired by Ciara’s “tomboy” flare along with her taste for “classic” novelties. It also includes pieces for men, children, and babies. “What I love about it is that it intersects the culture of romanticism and merges Gap’s iconic styles with LoveShackFancy’s vintage-inspired florals and feminine silhouette,” Ciara said in a statement. She added, “When you get to be a part of brands like the Gaps of the world and LoveShackFancys of the world and pour your personality into it, it’s always a dream.”

The collection includes a trench coat, jeans, and a floral-print dress. This moment in her career is special for the Grammy winner because it involves two of her children–son Future, 9, who modeled for Gap when he was 3, and daughter Sienna, 6–whom she dubbed “rockstar” kids. The proud mom said they are as thrilled about the collection as she is.

South African amapiano duo Major League DJz made history this weekend as the first amapiano act billed at the world’s largest dance music festival, Tomorrowland. The duo’s historic feat, set in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans at the Belgium festival, was preceded by another global feat as they graced the cover of the British magazine DJ Mag. In doing so, they also made history as the first amapiano act on the coveted cover. They are the third South African act to grace the magazine’s cover after Black Coffee and DJ Lag.

“Amapiano is on the cover of the biggest dance music magazine in the world and we are the FIRST TO DO IT,” they shared on Instagram. “Taking this genre to the world has always been our goal. Kid Cudi is shaking up the fashion industry with the debut of his new clothing brand, Members of the Rage. According to reports, the rapper dropped Members of the Rage on Thursday, July 27, at Selfridges in London. The collection is inspired by the late Virgil Abloh and his iconic OFF-WHITE brand and serves as a nod to the 90s grunge style mixed with the essence of hip hop and the future. MOTR also features Cudi’s ideas that date back to 2016.

The line features a variety of streetwear pieces that can be mixed and matched from hoodies, joggers, shirts, sweaters, and shorts. To kick off the launch, the Grammy Award-winning artist told the press that the collection came about during quarantine and boredom, and with insight from Abloh and BAPE founder Nigo, he found himself on the right track for success. “I think without being forced to have free time, I wouldn’t have ever sat down and developed it,” he said. “I spoke to Virgil who was really supportive and then reached out to Nigo for guidance on the logo. We went back and forth for a month or so and then we had it.”

5. Al-Nassr confirm £34m signing of Bayern Munich star, Sadio Mane

Al-Nassr have confirmed the signing of Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich for a reported fee of £34 million ($43.4m). Al-Nassr, who shook the footballing world last year after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, have added another massive name to their ranks. Thomas Tuchel and Mane himself came to an agreement that the time was right for the winger to leave Bavaria and he has done so after a less than impressive year on the continent. Netting just 12 goals in all competitions, as well as a getting involved reported bust-up with teammate Leroy Sane, Mane’s time in Munich fell flat.

When he moved to Germany last summer, there was obvious excitement from the Bayern fans as they’d signed a player who was an electric as part of a front three alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah at Liverpool. However, his decline was sharp and obvious for all to see. He went just shy of six months without a Bundesliga goal between October 2022 and April 2023.
