Excess is something Versace is known for and many of the star-studded guests which included Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Tracee Ellis Ross, Lupita Nyong’o, Blake Lively, Ciara, Mary J Blige, Teyana Taylor, Winnie Harlow, Paris Jackson, 21 Savage and a host of others took advantage of this heritage as they attended the brand’s Pre-Fall 2019 show.
The Pre-Fall show which held in New York city was a first for the fashion house. Versace is moving into a new phase and this show signified that things were definitely taking a different but good turn. What was most interesting was the guest in attendance who were able to recognise the brand’s effort through their style.
Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye both wore designs by the brand; Kim, in a sparkly custom-made dress and Kanye, in a more casual coat and sneaker combination. Teyana Taylor went all out in a print look from the Spring 2019 collection, a matching sheer blouse and leggings which were embroidered with Swarovski crystal embellishments.
Lupita Nyong’o is another celebrity that arrived the event in a coordinated look by the brand, opting for a cardigan/sweater vest with a mini skirt from their Resort 2019 collection. Leaving the colours behind, actress and SR certified style star Blake Lively opted for a vintage silver chain-mail dress from the brand’s Spring 1999 line. It was certainly similar to what Kim Kardashian West wor and stunning in its own right. Tracee Ellis Ross, however, was darling in a blue bodycon dress from the Versace 2018 Fall men’s runway show.
