Last week was a busy one for A-listers as they went about carrying out their celebrity duties. As they did so, the best dressed celebrities said no to extravagance, choosing rather to make a statement in casual fits. As laidback silhouettes dominated the fashion scenes last week, it was a welcome reminder that impactful fashion doesn’t always come with bells and whistles. Celebrities Stylish Outfits
The Looks
A prime example was the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Washington Wizards. For it, NBA player PJ Tucker made a pregame appearance in a colorful Marni sweater, complete with matching pants. He stuck to the laidback theme by going with a pair of white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers and accessorizing with a silver necklace, Goyard bags, and a green baseball cap. Chilled and colorful, it really does have a nice ring to it.
Television host Steve Harvey turned heads at the Louis Vuitton cruise show in Dubai. To the event, he wore a music notes-print silk coordinating set, which he complemented with a pair of black patent leather shoes and black sunglasses. Mr. Harvey may be getting older, but there’s no denying that his style remains youthful.
Elsewhere, the laidback theme continued. NFL player Tyrod Taylor stepped out in Seattle for Week 8 of the football season in a mustard Jill Sanders zip-fastening biker jacket, which he wore over a white t-shirt and paired with cropped black Yohji Yamamoto trousers. For shoes, he opted for a pair of black leather boots, which suited the cropped pants perfectly.
For whatever event last week, celebrities went for more simple outfits that felt familiar yet decidedly stylish. Did they make grand statements? Likely not, but they surely created memorable fashion moments.
