But last week, someone dared to challenge the Queen — none other than her longtime friend and former bandmate, Kelly Rowland. Bey made a stop in California, and Rowland, as well as other celebs, showed up to grace the occasion. For the night, Kelly opted for a muted face beat to balance her high-tempo metallic outfit. Her doll-up featured smokey eyes punctuated by metallic shimmer, nude lips, and a warm blush. Although muted, the look was enough to threaten to draw attention away from the Queen.
When we talk about celebrities and the beauty trends they chose to make their mark last week, one can’t ignore Zendaya and the no-makeup makeup look she donned for her birthday. The 27-year-old struck a pose in a barely-there option that sought to accentuate the story of her natural beauty rather than tell a completely different tale. The look, characterized by full brows and rosy lips, was unbelievably effortless. Perhaps, this is Zendaya announcing that her 27th chapter will be focused on winning without stress.

One would think that colorful spectacles play within the rules of summer, and as the season takes a bow, the conventional thing to do is to retreat to the understated hues of fall. But Megan Thee Stallion begs to differ. Last week, the singer revealed a chic blunt-cut ponytail in maroon that was a sight for sore eyes. The classic hairdo and the contemporary hue proved that one can always have the best of both worlds.
