From being a cashier at the Amish Market in TriBeCa, New York to being a stripper, then a cast of the popular Reality TV show Love and Hip Hop, Bronx-born Cardi B has used her style to affirm that she plans on remaining true to herself.
Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, the Latina-raised rapper was definitely created for stardom. Over the past two years alone, Cardi B has made music history, performed around the world, gotten married, had a baby, and even dropped her own Fashion Nova clothing collection. Even as a child, there was no doubt that Cardi B had some style. In a look she shared on her Instagram page, she definitely looked like she literally invented the sartorial-streetwear mashup in the mid-90s.
This now well memefied moment gave us our first look into the wardrobe of Cardi B as a little girl and needless to say, she sure had some humorous style. Even then, Cardi was all about layering as she layered a navy halter-neck crop top and trouser two-piece over a white shirt.

The 27-year-old mother of one found her lane in style with the help of her stylist Kollin Carter in early 2017, just as her career took off. When it comes to her style, her aesthetic is very much that of a flamboyant rapper. Think thigh-high boots, colorful furs, diamond watches and not to forget about her elaborate nails.
