Drake was being a Certified Lover Boy when he took to his Instagram Stories to wish Lilah Pi a happy birthday. “More life to the gyal that’s impossible to duplicate,” he wrote alongside a stunning photo of Lilah. “My inspo, my confidant, my best mate, my heart @lilahpi happy birthday.” The singer reposted the story, adding a pink heart emoji and “4L,” which is an acronym for “for life.”
The post added fuel to the flame of dating rumors between the two, after the rapper name-dropped her in a recent verse on J Hus’ song, “Who Told You.” On the track, he raps, “So Lilah Pi, don’t make my eye cry / Let me hold your controller, I’m not one of the controllin’ guys / I want you to touch road with the girls dem, and socialize / Enjoy your life, your backside is so fit, it opens eyes / I know the vibes, I know the vibes.” Lilah is a musician herself, as the East London native released her debut EP “Atlantis” back in November 2021 via The Flight Club Records.

Amapiano musician Pabi Cooper will represent South Africa at the 2023 BET Awards with “SETE” hitmaker K.O. after the pair bagged a nomination for Best New International Act. Pabi and K.O will be up against Eswatini-born star Uncle Waffles, Aya Nakamura (France), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Central Cee (UK), Ella Mai (UK), L7nnon (Brazil), Stormzy (UK), and Tiakola (France).
Pabi, K.O., and Uncle Waffles took to their socials to share their joy at the recognition. “Grateful,” said K.O. “Proud to announce I am nominated for the BET Awards,” said an excited Pabi, while Uncle Waffels said, “This is crazy. Thank you so much!”

Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian are teaching daughter Olympia about financial literacy through ownership, where she will eventually be at the forefront of creating opportunities for women’s sports. Olympia, 5, is now co-owner of the Los Angeles Golf Club, along with both parents, according to an Instagram post by Ohanian, which shared the exciting news.
“Announcing my fellow co-owner of @wearelagc…@olympiaohanian!” the Reddit co-founder captioned the post. “Olympia is the youngest owner in professional sports (@weareangelcity) and is now the youngest 2-team owner in professional sports. She’ll be joined by her future sibling 🥳,” he added. It’s not Olympia’s first so-called purchase of a sports team. Ohanian in March revealed her ownership in the Angel City Football Club, noting that she doesn’t “actually understand” her stake in the business.
5. Real Madrid have a new captain: Nacho Fernandez takes armband from Karim Benzema

Nacho Fernandez has confirmed that he will sign a one-year contract at Real Madrid, and will take the captaincy from departed Karim Benzema. Nacho has confirmed that he will stay at Madrid for at least one more year, despite having interest from Roma, Inter Milan, and MLS. He will also wear the captain’s armband for the coming season, replacing previous captain Karim Benzema, who has joined Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
Nacho said: “I’ve decided to stay at Real Madrid. There are offers as always but I want to stay one more year, I’m so happy about it.” Madrid’s supporters chanted for Nacho to stay when they played Athletic Club and he has now confirmed that he will do exactly that. He has been with the club for his entire career and has played 319 times for Los Blancos, winning the Champions League five times and La Liga on three occasions.
