T
he result of last week’s fashion temperature was an inspiration to serve even hotter looks. Mini dresses took their course and brought leg day past gym time. Also, the color combinations were daring and energetic. As usual, Lagos celebrities brought their A-game with a good mix of maximalist drama and minimalist charm. Whether it was the Bridgerton Season 3 premiere or casually running errands, the atmosphere was pumped up with outfits heavy on adornments and celebs with personalities to boot.
The fits boasted shimmering stones, frills, luxurious fabrics, and numbers that fit like a square peg in a square hole. The ensembles served as worthy conduits which flowed into the city. The streetwear was nowhere near basic either. The mini skirts and boots combo sprang up to save the day, and simple black pants filled in the space on upbeat days.

#1. Sharon Ooja

For the Bridgerton Season 3 premiere in Lagos, Sharon Ooja was a sight in a purple number by Nigerian designer SomobySomo. Featuring a ruffled hem, high slit, bejeweled bust, and frame-enhancing effect, the dress was a perfect fit for a bold princess who knows her worth. The cute headband injected an adventurous girlie streak fit for her interpretation of the theme.
#2. Tiwa Savage

Singer and actress Tiwa Savage showed she’s full of inspiration and creativity. From music to movies and style, she holds it up like a pro. Her Water and Garri movie press looks have not been easy on us. For a recent leg of press, Savage wore a cropped button-down top with a bralette and mini skirt that was interesting to see. But the highlight of the get-up was the unique thigh-high boots that spruced up the entire coordination.
#3. Omawunmi

The Adire fabric has morphed from the rural girl’s traditional fit to a global and highly-coveted print. Indeed, it works for everything. Singer Omawunmi chose to wear a tailored Adire shirt over yellow pants and purple pumps. The result was a sweet splash of hues and a put-together front—one that’s befitting for a Nigerian Idol judge.

#4. Chioma Ikokwu

Ivory and orange is a color combo worth trying this season. The juxtaposition of the ivory’s softness against the orange’s bold charm brings an inarguable sense of symphony. Entrepreneur Chioma Ikokwu blended a silk orange top with tailored pants and lush ivory outerwear. Coordinating the fit, she strung along a pearl necklace over the collar. The kimono revealing the orange sleeves is a boujee styling trick to have up your sleeve.
#5. Hilda Baci

It was an elegance overload moment as Hilda Baci stepped into a ball dress for the Bridgerton Season 3 premiere. She wore a mono-sleeve tulle dress, tiered for a bulkier effect, that played up her femininity. The bodice was a corset floral affair that burst into a full-on princess ball moment. To major in the regal conversation, the celebrity chef adorned her hair with flowers and completed the look with DIY sheer gloves. The color, prints, and concept merged effortlessly to create a magical moment
#6. Diane Russet

White accessories are classy. Throw a simple white handbag and shoes into an all-black rendering and watch everything fall into place. Diane Russet put this to the test in a black sleeveless top styled with black pants and a belt to cinch the waist. She then introduced white pimps and a matching handbag for a chic effect. Opt for simplicity on days of uncertainty. From an understated hair color to dainty jewelry, the mix is often a sophisticated result.
