Black women continue to showcase excellence in bold, unapologetic ways. From their careers to style and beauty, Black celebs and influencers are a true representation of how women of Pan-African heritage around the world are balancing their acts and arts and doing it all excellently. Proving this and more with charming face beats and elegant tresses, last week’s best beauty looks were absolutely charming.
Makeup
It goes without saying that colors are very much in this season within the makeup scene and American singer/TV personality, Tamar Braxton proved this. Serving a bombshell moment with bold red lips, she looked effortlessly fierce. She perfected the look with bronze eyelids and thick brows. Also coming through with some color-pop makeup, Nigerian content creator/ makeup artiste, Ronke Bodamisi was a stunner in blue. Her impeccable take on the floating eyeliner trend was an instant hit.
Glowing with dewy skin, American actress and author, Gabrielle Union-Wade and Nigerian model Nneoma Anosike gave off summer vibes in delicate natural glam. In other words, the two belles upheld the less is more mantra and won. First off, Gabrielle’s glossy nude lip and bare face combo was refreshingly youthful. Equally gleaming up our feed was Nneoma’s striking brow and fresh skin dyad which hit the mark on stunning. It’s safe to say that these two have increased our zeal for some skincare this season.
Hair
Unconventionality in beauty never goes out of style and the hairstyle milieu witnessed this last week. Mixing two styles in one, Ethiopian American singer and rapper Mereba was proof of the power of individuality. With a threaded updo and braided twists, her goddess-like hairstyle literally spoke volumes. On the cornrow side of the tress turf, Nigerian media personality, Venita Akpofure came through with an ultra-chic fix. With flawless rows and dainty baby hairs, she rocked the protective style to a tee!
To keep you in the know on what’s modish right now, we’ve got a lineup of dynamic beauty looks for you to revere.
