here are three things you can’t get away with during the holiday season: an insipid meal, a boring event lineup, and a tasteless outfit. Last week, the holiday season officially kicked off with Thanksgiving, and it was easy to spot our ever-stylish Black celebs ramping up superfluous evening dinners and red-carpet events in excitingly ravishing ensembles.
Bulgari’s Serpenti Metamorphosis event was one of such star-studded events held at London’s Saatchi gallery, with celebrities like Eve Jihan Jeffers, Lashana Lynch, and Sabrina Elba stealing the show in promising frocks. Elsewhere, RHOA star Porsha Williams tied the knot last weekend, and the fashion was certainly one for the books.
The looks
There are stand-out dresses that effortlessly draw attention, and Gabrielle Union wore one of such — a stunning high-low Loewe dress with playful balls serving as a hem. She rocked this colorful delight to one of the Strange Movie press rounds, and it was simply perfection and in spirits for the holiday.
Having lunch with Oprah Winfrey would have been one of the ways everyone would love to spend Thanksgiving week, but star actress Quinta Brunson beat everyone to it. She was spotted on set with the Queen of Talk in a classic Alietteny embellished polo fringe dress and a simple updo.
Meanwhile, Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa hit the streets of Milan in an all-black SSHEENA look vamped up with neon Balenciaga accessories, as styled by her go-to stylist Demi Oyenekan. Black truly doesn’t crack.
