Last Week, The Best Beauty Looks Were Simply Charming

At Style Rave, we aim to inspire our readers by…
If there’s a word that dares to embody the essence of Black women, it is resilient. Against all odds, Black women continue to rise in various fields while redefining the conventional standards of beauty––all done in the most striking ways possible. Proving this with a rich array of hairstyles and face beats that make us do a double-take, the best beauty looks from last week are simply charming.
Hair
Locs are always a gorgeous idea and Ciara made sure to remind us of this. The American singer-songwriter looked exceptionally youthful in a honey-brown and gold waist-length faux locs hairdo. Adding some pizzaz to its goddess-like aesthetic, Ciara had a couple of curls popping out of the half-up-half-down style. Basically, she took the loc trend to a whole new level of fab! But she was not alone. Star actress Meagan Good, who’s always been fan of faux locs also spotted the hairstyle in red tone and as always, she rocked the look to perfection!
Also bringing the right amount of beauteous exuberance our way, Yara Shahidi rocked a curly top bun for the Critics Choice Awards last week. She showcased the effect of personality when it comes to your beauty look with some thick baby blue thread and slick baby hairs. The young actress and activist is quickly positioning herself as a force to reckon with in both the fashion and beauty worlds.
Makeup
When you see a phenomenal woman wearing red lipstick, you have no choice but to be in absolute awe. And one Black, talented and audacious headliner who continues to relay this is Viola Davis. As the American actress and producer posed for a feature in British Vogue’s annual Hollywood portfolio, her dazzling smile and take on classic red lips stole the show! Overall, the jubilant shot was infectious and captivating all at once.
Effortlessly gleaming up the beauty scene in honor of the no-makeup trend, Nigerian singer-songwriter Simi was an organic sight to behold. With healthy-looking, sun-kissed skin, she owned the bare face look to a tee. Ultimately, she came through with a strong message of self-love when it comes to being comfortable in your own skin.
We’ve got you covered with more beauty looks to inspire your spring beauty goals.
