The Carters aren’t just praised because they are “The Carters,” they are loved because they give out love and respect. In their acceptance speech which came after they were announced as the winners of the ‘International Group Category’ at the BRIT Awards tonight, Beyoncé and husband, Jay Z did something that surprised and excited their fans and probably helped them gain new ones.
In a recorded video message that was shared on Queen B’s Instagram, the husband and wife duo stood in front of a portrait of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle as they gave their thank you speech. Beyonce Jay Z celebrity news.
Accepting the award, Queen B said…
“Thank you so much to the BRIT Awards for this incredible honour. You guys have always been so supportive, everything is love. Thank you,”
Responding at the end of her speech, Jay Z said: “you are welcome.” The two laughed softly and turned their backs on the camera coming face to face with a stunning portrait of Meghan Markle in a queenly crown and Victorian-style regalia.
Many fans have since reacted to the acceptance speech. Some labelled it the best thing they’ve seen all week and we have to agree.
In the wake of deaths, scandals and political unrest across the world, paying homage to the Duchess who happens to be pregnant and enjoying her time in New York is the light at the end of the tunnel, at least for this week.
The Duchess recently celebrated her baby shower in her former base with close friends like Serena Williams, Misha Nonoo, Amal Clooney and others.
