There’s just something about Nollywood actress Beverly Naya that sets her apart. Maybe it’s her can’t stop, won’t stop attitude when it comes to her craft. That “go get it!” attitude is something which we’ve also noticed about the way she goes about her style game. And thinking about it, it’s hard to remember a time we were not impressed with her style, even in the slightest.
Born Beverly Ifunaya Bassey, the 30-year-old has already convinced us that she was made for the spotlight. The recent Bling Lagosians premiere saw her step out in a futuristic Weiz Dhurm Franklyn creation and a headwrap by popular Lagos-based gele artist, Oni Gele. Beverly looked exactly like what we envisioned the translation of the film premiere theme “Eko For Show” should be.
While her looks for red carpet events like the one above are usually as grand as occasion demands, her everyday looks and PR images differ as they are typically oh-so-relatable. Many times the actress has so graciously blessed us with ensembles that made us want to walk into the nearest boutique or go on an online shopping spree.
Beverly’s take on fashion is equal part chic and funky and often times I personally can’t wait to recreate her looks. While most celebrity looks are usually distinct and trendy, in reality very few can relate with it. Beverly Naya makes a case for a timeless kind of style, inspired of course by trends.
