Last week, as we said goodbye to the first half of 2021, Africa’s most stylish male celebrities showed up and showed out in looks that were personal, definitive and suave.
Veteran Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), led the pack in a neutral-tone ensemble. The 60-year-old rocked a beige camp collar shirt and off-white wide-leg pants which exemplified urban luxe with a hint of zaddy vibes. It’s what we’ve come to expect from a man like RMD whose style game has continued to evolve over the years. He layered the look with a red clay-colored trench coat which added the well-needed vibrant color pop that took the outfit over and beyond. He completed the look with a pair of black leather boots and accessorized with silver-toned jewelry and brown-frame sunglasses.
Over in East Africa, Tanzanian pop star Marioo played to his strength in a two-tone outfit. The matching plaid trench coat and pants styled with a black turtleneck sweater and black beanie was a great blend of retro sensibility and modern sleek style. The ensemble was on point and allowed space for adding wardrobe essentials like the Balenciaga dad sneakers he wore so proudly. The star looked modern and cool as he incorporated elements from different style eras.
