Great style lies in the details and last week, male celebrities across Africa reminded us that most times, all we need to elevate an outfit is to simply coordinate its design details with the styling. It was in this light that celebrities across the fashion and entertainment industries in Africa stepped out last week, as they opted for relaxed and effortlessly stylish monochrome fits.
A master of dark colors, Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel embraced black in a stylishly detailed monochrome fit. The star artiste wore a black blazer over a combination of a button-down shirt and a pair of straight-cut trousers. He completed the all-black look with even more black—a pair of black dress shoes and because good begets good, the result was nothing short of dapper. He further accessorized with a pair of black sunglasses and some metallic-tone jewelries that served as a necessary pop of color. African mens fashion 2021.
Over in the East, Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, who isn’t afraid to try out vibrant colors, stepped out in lilac— a color many men tend to shy away from. But his look came as no surprise, he always stands out for his detail-oriented style sense which sets him in a class of his own. His look consisted of a “casj” designer outfit featuring a pair of lilac wide-leg pants and a matching sweatshirt. Still maintaining the casj look, he finished the look off with a pair of white dad sneakers, a matching face cap, a pair of white sunglasses, a beaded cross-body bag and some minimal jewelry. Safe to say, the entire lewk was way beyond basic.
