Best Dressed List: How Style Stars Slayed The Week

At Style Rave, we aim to inspire our readers by…
As life begins to return to a normal state, celebrities and style stars across Africa––who also happen to be some of the best style influencers on Instagram––are finding reasons to dress up, step out and make a fashion statement. The cinemas are gradually coming back to life and movie premieres seem to be the order of every weekend. Stylish African Celebrities on Instagram Style.
African celebrities and top fashion influencers are consistently using their style on Instagram to prove that a global pandemic doesn’t equal an end to doing the things we love––especially if it keeps us going.
Even as we continuously preach the gospel of safety and ask that you observe social distancing rules, we also want to re-emphasize the fact that a fashionable outfit should not only make you look good on the outside but also make you feel confident from the inside out. That confidence is exactly what we can feel from the women on this list.
Last week, there were so many chic looks from Nigerian celebrities that choosing a few was quite a herculean task. Arise Fashion Week 2020 took place over the weekend, and among a selected group of fashionable guests on the opening night, top model Ojy Okpe stood out in a Lisa Folawiyo Adire two-piece.
For the premiere of the remake of the Nollywood classic “Nneka The Pretty Serpent,” TV girl Idia Aisien who made her Nollywood debut in the movie, graced the red carpet in a gold work of art designed by two creatives from different professions––a fabricator, Moon Visual Studios and a rising fashion designer, Ogé by Oge. She balanced the dramatic gown with a subtle glam beat as she finished off her look with a sleek ponytail, complete with a trending baby hair aesthetic.
Over in Tanzania, past beauty queens proved their commitment to humanitarian service as they attended the premier Beauty Legacy Tanzania gala in a range of stunning looks. Founded by Style Rave 2019 Most Beautiful Woman in Africa, Jacqueline Mengi, the foundation aims to bring together Tanzanian beauty queens to inspire girls and women, as they raise funds to support health and education.
The looks shared via Instagram posts by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of chic, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them. Top Stylish African Fashion influencer Instagram.
