Last Week’s Best Beauty Looks Were A Tale Of Well-orchestrated Glam

t’s no-small task to curate a list of the best beauty looks each week as Black women are simply bent on making the job difficult. How? Because they unapologetically render awe-inspiring looks so much so that narrowing down to a mere ten doesn’t seem enough. While the event calendar was slim last week, celebs didn’t go off the course of heavy-hitting glam even if it was just a pose for the gram. From contemporary renditions of classic dark beauty looks to creative maneuvering in the mane sector, Black women delivered, leaving us with a heck of a job. But who’s complaining? 

The Looks

Last week, Lori Harvey hosted the YEVRAH Swim summer pool party and an exciting number of celebs showed up for the event, one of which was Justine Skye. For the occasion, the singer decided to bring an edge to the sought-after smokey eyes by incorporating the beloved feline liner. The liner did more for the look than just complement the eyeshadow as it added dimension and accentuated her eyes with a hint of sexiness. 

Over in Rwanda, the Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, brought the heat to the city of Kigali with her music and upbeat makeup offering. For the show, the singer opted for a neutral face beat characterized by full brows, muted lips, and a well-contoured face. She incorporated some character into the look with witchy lashes that sang in a high-tempo tune. 

Hair

Recently, Ciara broke the internet with her pregnancy announcement, and we dialed in for some preggo inspo. Last week, the mother-of-three gave us a first of what we signed up for when she rocked a 90s-inspired flipped pigtail hairdo that was just as playful as she.
