If there was a lineup of women unapologetic about their looks, we will all agree that Jada Pinkett-Smith makes the cut. Last week, the star celebrated Bald is Beautiful Day with such fierceness that reminded us that bald is truly beautiful. Her look consisted of lightly-filled brows, spider lashes, and glossy lips in deep red. While there was subtility to the look, her choice of lippie brought an intriguing pop to the entire party.
Although born on September 4, Beyonce waited until September 10 to celebrate her 41st birthday. The party saw celebrities assemble in Bel Air sporting their best in honor of Queen Bey. Perhaps, of all the celebs gathered, the one who sparkled the most was Kelly Rowland. The Destiny’s Child sensation shimmered in a silver two-piece that complemented her rich melanin skin. Silver also made its way into her makeup in order to deliver on the disco ball theme, and boy, did we love the result! Deep smokey eyes enlivened with silver glitter across her lids and nude lips were the right elements needed to party with the queen.
Hair
New York Fashion Week may be over, but we’re still nibbling on the dynamic offerings spotted on the streets, from fashion to makeup and hair. Over in the mane department, Lori Harvey favored short box braids with loose ends to complement her Tom Ford fit. The hairdo lent an interesting vibe to the hip olive outfit, automatically amplifying its #streetslay.
