Last Week, The Best Beauty Looks Were Creatively Stunning

Beyond their unique outward beauty, Black women have always broken boundaries and influenced others through their hard work. And every week, we get inspired by these badass women and the iconic looks they share on Instagram.

Makeup

Last week, we saw creative makeup looks as Tongoro Studio joined the pearly makeup trend with their model. The Black Beauty, whose makeup was nude, let her skin shine through as she was embellished with pearls and stones for brows. The pearl makeup trend is various shades of simple and elegant and can be used for both minimal bold looks.

Over in South Africa, actress and disc jockey, Thuli Phongolo proved that she wasn’t trying to fit in as she sported an all-red look. Her dark red lips were the perfect contrast to her smokey bronzed eyeshadow. In the United States, actress, comedian, and author Tiffany Haddish showcased her inner Cher Horowitz from “Clueless” in a pink plaid suit. To complement her pink Area blazer and pleated miniskirt, she opted for light pink glam. Her flushed cheeks, pink eyeshadow, and natural pink lips brought the look together.

Hair

Of course, the tresses weren’t left out this week as we were spoilt for choice with the stunning hair game on display. Nigerian reality TV star and entrepreneur, Anto Lecky took the lead as she gave us some retro vibes in her massive afro. American actress Tracee Ellis Ross made a case for Bantu knots in the US, and we love it!

From American beauty and fashion YouTuber Teaira Walker’s sleek ponytail updo, to the pink ombre curly locks on Ghana’s  Zynnell Zuh, and the gele looks shared by Nigeria’s media mogul, Mo Abudu and Actress Beverly Osu, we were undoubtedly impressed by the Black beauty looks shared this week.
