Hair
African-American actress Keke Palmer’s bouncing curls were the perfect match for her fresh face of makeup. We love how her auburn colored hair perfectly complemented her beautiful brown skin and rosy-blushed cheeks.
What is perhaps our favorite hairdo from last week was the double serving of structured braided updos on musician sister duo, Chloe and Halle. The looks were created for their Blanc Magazine cover feature and left us again in awe of the versatility and power of black hair.
Updo’s like the ponytail looks seen on Latino actress, Jennifer Lopez, and boss chick, Karla Tobie as well as braided cornrows like the one seen on the model, Acacia McBride, and Shalisa Chang seemed to dominate last week’s beauty looks and we have to say, their simplicity is stunning!
Makeup
Golden shimmer and matte nude palettes dominated the eyes last week but we especially loved how Texas makeup artist and beauty influencer, Mena Adubea worked with her lilac-colored eyeshadow and orange lipstick. The look was such a perfect complement to her beautiful dark skin, a makeup inspiration we didn’t realize we needed. You will definitely love this one.
Nigerian, Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, was a total boss chick in her subtle yet charming green under-eye look. Model Aslayy easily earned our favorite closeup for the week. We love the golden shimmer on her eyes, skin, and lips. What a look!
