On Friday, Nigerian singer Asake became the first African artiste to headline and sell out a show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The “Work Of Art Tour” stop, produced by Duke Concept, was Asake’s very first arena show in North America. The concertgoers at the 19,000-capacity venue were treated to a dramatic entrance as he appeared from behind a huge silver ball with motorcycle gear on, singing “Organise.” Throughout the night, he performed other hits like “Joha,” “Sungba,” “Bandana,” “Lonely At The Top,” “Mogbe,” “Basquiat,” and “Amapiano,” just to name a few.

On Saturday, actress Kimberly Elise shared a sweet tribute to her recent nuptials with her followers on Instagram. The message featured the beautiful moment her now-husband, George McCrary, popped the big question. As he removed the ring box from his pocket and took a knee, Elise became emotional and nodded, “Yes.” Another frame of the video montage highlights the couple on their wedding day, along with the special moment when they kissed. The video also shows the lovebirds entering their reception as Elise shimmies through the door.
“I’m so joyful to share wonderful news with you 😊,” she began the post, followed by how she met her hubby. “After being introduced by our pastor last winter, a beautiful courtship, falling in love, and lots of prayer, we became engaged. Then, on August 19, 2023, we were blessed to become husband and wife. We made a covenant of holy matrimony before our closest friends, family, and most importantly before God,” she added

Early on in the interview, Zingah, who’s always eager to find some interesting sound bites during his chats with celebrities on the podcast, probed Focalistic about his relationship status.
After unsuccessfully trying to avoid the question and Zingah’s hint that he was dating Pabi Cooper, Focalistic eventually responded, “I’m single, I’ve been through a lot. I’m good with women right now.” The “Ba Straata” star was previously linked to DBN Gogo around late 2021 and 2022. The former couple even made their relationship official on social media.

Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji was spotted having a great time and smiling at her fans at the Toronto International Film Festival. The thespian was in attendance at the highly anticipated premiere of her movie “I Do Not Come To You By Chance” and was recorded going down an escalator. The event was held in Toronto, Canada, and as soon as Nnaji spotted the camera, she gave a heart-melting and dashing smile, then waved at her fans. She also took time out to take a picture with a fan.
Though the actress has been under the radar since the end of 2022, she has not been idle. Behind the scenes, she had been hard at work on her movie that just premiered. The feature film is co-produced by Chinny Carter and Chioma Onyenwe, and the script was written by the talented duo, Chika Anadu and Ishaya Bako. This is said to be her first official appearance in 2023 and her first movie after five years away.

Paul Pogba reportedly tested positive for testosterone after Juventus’ clash with Udinese in Serie A and has been provisionally suspended. The former Manchester United midfielder has three days in which to respond to the charge and must produce a counter-analysis of the result. In the meantime, he has been provisionally suspended by the Italian anti-doping authority, according to reports.
It is commonplace in most elite leagues in Europe for anti-doping tests to take place after each match. Pogba actually played against Bologna and Empoli before the France international’s test was allegedly confirmed to maintain traces of testosterone. If Pogba is found guilty, bans for doping in Serie A can carry suspensions from playing lasting between two and four years, leaving the 30-year-old in significant trouble.
