As Robert Cavalli, the son of Roberto Cavalli, one of the most celebrated designers in the history of fashion, sent his mixed collection down the runway, it was easy to observe that the apple truly does not fall too far from the tree. This he proved on Day 2 of the just concluded ARISE Fashion Week 2019 at the Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
After a brief interview on the runway, the brand Triple RRR by Robert Cavalli proceeded to showcase a collection that had a combination of outfits from their SS19, FW19 and FW20 lookbooks. Opening the show was Naomi Campbell in what the designer called her favourite animalier suit from his SS19 menswear collection.
Also in the lineup of models was top model Alton Mason rocking a jacquard green and gold cashmere robe from the brand’s FW20 collection.
High-end, cosy loungewear, traditional dressing gown, buttonless coats and jackets, crafted from velvet, silk jacquards and cashmere made up most of the collection.
From the range of colours to fabric selection, finishing and overall aesthetics, the entire collection was simply impeccable. The lightweight construction of the outfits was perfect for a facile kind of luxury look.
