Angela Ponce Becomes First Transgender Miss Universe Contestant

A fashion and culture enthusiast who's really a food loving…
Nothing is impossible if you believe. This is the case for Angela Ponce Camacho as she prepares for the 2018 Miss Universe pageant taking place Monday, December 17 in Bangkok, Thailand. Angela, who was born male, has been consistently making history in recent times and there is no stopping her.
A year after her operation, Angela competed for the 2015 Miss World Cadiz and won. She later went on to win Miss Spain 2018 and made history as the first transgender to hold that title.

Now she is making history yet again for being the first transgender at the Miss Universe 2018 competition where she is representing Spain.
According to Today.com, the model and beauty queen had always dreamed of competing in pageants whilst growing up but she never imagined she would actually make it this far. There were times she wanted to throw in the towel but having a supportive family and an inner will to persevere has brought her thus far.
It is without a doubt that Angela has been subjected to negative criticisms on social media and beyond. But she has learned to focus on the positive side of social media and on her ability to give hope to others.
