The Royal Wedding has finally taken place and the world gets to see the magnificent dresses selected by Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex for her big day. Meghan Markle’s dress was kept under wraps and even Prince Harry, as traditionally expected, also got to see the dress for the first time as she walked down the aisle.
For her main wedding look, Meghan went for a sophisticated, timeless and elegant look designed by Clare Waight Keller, the first female artistic director at Givenchy since 2017. The dress was a stunning silk gown with an open bateau/boatneck dress with a sculpted waist and a three-quarter sleeve.
The look was finished off with a veil made from silk tulle, featuring a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza. The veil also represented the distinctive flora of each commonwealth country. The veil was held in place with the Queen Mary’s Diamond bandeau tiara, which Queen Elizabeth let Meghan borrow for her big day.
For their evening reception, hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House, Meghan Markle opted for a simple, sleek, elegant and sophisticated dress by notable British designer Stella McCartney. The dress is a bespoke lily white high neck gown made of silk crepe. The dress features a high, halter neck, with an open back and a train.
Meghan was truly a vision in white in both looks! I love how she kept it classy, elegant and simple. Be sure to share your thoughts in the ‘Rave Box’ below.
