First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari

Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has finally returned to Nigeria after spending six months in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was reported that the First Lady, Aisha Buhari returned on Thursday morning. Mrs. Buhari reportedly made her last known public appearance in September 2020 during the wedding of her daughter, Hanan. Since then, she has conspicuously not been involved in any government activity or sighted publicly. She also stopped posting on social media.

It was reported last December that the First Lady had relocated to Dubai, the UAE. Reports cited security concerns as one of her reasons for moving out from the Presidential Villa. Other reports said the reason for leaving was due to domestic squabbles. There hasn’t been any official statement from the presidency.

Despite recent claims that Kanye West is reportedly the richest Black person in America’s history, Forbes has officially refuted the media-given title to the famed rapper and fashion designer. Forbes published an article claiming that recent “reports that the celebrity is worth nearly $7 billion are based on the magical thinking around sales that don’t exist yet. This is why he’s currently worth less than one-third of that.”

The publication presented its own calculations, stating that West is only worth around $1.8 billion. Forbes’ numbers solidify Vista Equity’s Robert F. Smith as the richest Black person in the U.S., with an estimated net worth of $6 billion. On the other hand, Aliko Dangote of Nigeria remains the richest Black person globally with $11.8 billion in net worth.

He opened up in a recent MacG interview on Podcast and Chill.

The actor explained that what they had was more of a “situationship” as opposed to a relationship, and after some time, they got claustrophobic, and it didn’t work out.

Samia Suluhu Hassan

Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu Hassan made history on Friday when she was sworn in as the country’s first female president after the sudden death of John Magufuli from an illness shrouded in mystery. Hassan, 61, a Muslim woman from the island of Zanzibar and vice president since 2015, will finish Magufuli’s second five-year term, set to run until 2025.

She becomes the only other current female head of state in Africa alongside Ethiopia’s President Sahle-Work Zewde, whose role is mainly ceremonial. Hassan was little known outside Tanzania until she appeared on state television on Wednesday night to announce that Magufuli had died from a heart condition after a mysterious three-week absence from public view.

5. AFCON Qualifiers: Liverpool star Salah in Egypt squad for Kenya clash

Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah is among the 28 players summoned by Egypt coach Hossam El-Badry ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya. Harambee Stars will be hosting the Pharaohs in Nairobi on March 25 in a Group G tie aiming at maximum points to revive their slim chances of making it to the finals in Cameroon. El-Badry will be hoping the Reds star will strike to help his team get a win after being held to a 1-1 draw in Alexandria, Egypt, in the first round.

The 28-year-old is among the five foreign-based players in the squad. Others are Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny, Mahmoud Trezeguet of Aston Villa FC, Galatasaray’s Mostafa Mohamed, and Ahmed Hegazi of Ittihad Jeddah SC.
