See How Your Fave African Stars Represented At The Oscars 2019

The 91st Academy Awards [OSCARS] held yesterday, Sunday 24, 2019, attracting celebrities of all ethnicities including our favourite African stars in film and media. The stars at this year’s event followed a sombre approach to style similar to last year; nothing over the top if we aren’t counting Billy Porter who showed out in a custom-made, dramatic Christian Siriano suit/ball gown.
The event was a colourful affair nonetheless and we were on the watch for our favourite stars of African heritage.
These stars with African origins representing the continent included Danai Gurira [Zimbabwe], Lupita Nyong’o [Kenya], Trevor Noah [South Africa], David Oyelowo [Nigeria], Charlize Theron [South Africa], Rami Malek [Eygpt], Bozoma Saint John [Ghana], Lola Ogunnaike [Nigeria] and a host of others.
We especially love how these celebrities rep the continent and also want to give a special shout out to Rami Malek who won the award for Best Actor making him the first Arab of African descent to do so.
Here’s how some of our fave African stars represented at the 2019 Oscars…
