Best Dressed List: Bright Hues And Bold Prints Won

Climate change has led to a steady change in seasons. This is why, unlike before, it’s still rainy in West Africa and East Africa. South Africa is also just wrapping up their winter season. Because of the cold weather maintaining its stay across much of Africa, people have had to find warmth in clothes. Last week, male celebrities and influencers across the continent maintained their style in bright hues and bold prints.
In a week that saw the violent killing of innocent protesters in Lagos, Nigeria, everything fashion-related came to a near standstill after the tragic Tuesday incident. There were a few exceptions as it was revealed that Wizkid has been signed by Puma as an ambassador of the new JD x Puma Suede Classics campaign.
On why they chose Wizkid, the brand’s marketing director said: “A truly innovative and exciting artist in the music scene, Wizkid embodies the passion and hustle we look for in someone to represent Puma and we look forward to working with him for the AW20 season.”
In response, Wizkid said: “Puma is a brand I’ve loved and respected growing up, and so the decision to become an Ambassador felt completely natural. The Puma Suede is a classic shoe that can be worn by anyone at any age and I think my fans will really connect with that.”
Over in the South, Trevor Stuurman was dapper in black and gold as he posed beside a zebra-print upholstered chair. The creative director wore a floral patterned blazer over a classic white shirt and a matching pair of trousers. Selecting the perfect footwear which brought the entire look together, Trevor went with a pair of white and black brogues. He then accessorized with a pair of black and gold sunglasses and Panama hat.
From athleisure wear to business casual looks, there was even more dapperness to be inspired by. African men fashion.
