Wales Bonner has undoubtedly emerged as one of the most influential collaborators on the iconic Adidas Samba sneakers, if not the most influential. Her unique approach pays homage to the sneaker’s rich heritage while infusing unexpected and sophisticated elements, such as intricate crocheted details and the introduction of metallic leather. Since 2020, eight distinctive versions of the Wales Bonner Samba have graced the market, and this remarkable collection is poised to expand even further this month.
The upcoming quartet of Wales Bonner Samba promises to introduce exciting new features, including the use of pony hair and captivating leopard print. Among these four, one maintains a relatively conventional design by the partnership’s standards. It features a combination of suede, leather, and nubuck in shades of burgundy and cream, complemented by a blue sock liner and a dark brown outsole.
The remaining three sneakers embrace the luxurious appeal of pony hair, with the black and white colorway boasting a particularly shaggy appearance at the back. A standout among them showcases leopard print pony hair juxtaposed against a classic gum sole, reintroducing the signature blue liner.
While only official images of the upcoming quartet of Wales Bonner x Adidas Samba and a broad release window in November have been revealed thus far, the collection is expected to range in price from $180 to $220.
The latest collection will be released on November 7 at Wales Bonner, Adidas, the Confirmed app, and select sneaker shops worldwide.
