Davido is out to convince us that his gift to the world includes inspiring style. But we don’t need much convincing because we’ve always admired his fashion sense and hope more young men would take some fashion direction from him. No other Nigerian A-list artiste we can think of owns an enviable footwear collection and a closet of modish clothes like Davido.
The talented singer’s ascent to leading-man status has coincided with an ever-growing wardrobe of latest designer wears, epic outerwear and a bank account to match his taste. Whether he’s at an award show, a concert or heading to an after-party, Davido knows just how to deliver an appropriate look.
In one of his latest style conquest, Davido can be seen wearing an English type (double vented), perfectly cut and tailored black blazer. The blazer is a standard single-breasted piece and its two buttons are the most classic parts about it. The blazer comes with some navel-style metal buttons, four on each sleeve and 2 on the breast, which gives it a more detailed look and its fitted silhouette and notch lapel give it more structure even with the basic jetted pocket type.
He matched the blazer with a pair of black dress pants, layering the jacket over a dark grey cashmere turtleneck sweater which serves as a bridge to give the entire outfit a more casual-elegant look.
To complement the outfit, OBO went with a pair of black glossy leather tassel loafers and to further energize the outfit, he used a white and black pocket square to bring together the details of the jacket. Because an outfit would never be complete without at least one precious metal, Davido accessorized with two gold necklaces and some statement rings to remind us of his rock star status.
While it is unknown whether this look is self or professionally styled, every detail came together so perfectly to make this a rave-worthy semi-casual look.
