His collection, which always features exquisite hand-sewn embroideries, hand-tailoring of the finest unique fabrics and pristine finishing attest to the superior execution of every atelier design. This was no different in the haute couture collection released for AW19.
Georges Hobeika describes the AW19 collection as sculptural and enchanting and we definitely agree with him. The collection which features sequins, feathers and more illuminates and magnifies the beauty of the gesture and the grace of the movement by imagining evanescent silhouettes that transform precious fabrics into the swirling lightness of Swan Lake and the poetic sensation of renewal enhanced by the spectacle of nature. They are further mixed and enhanced with celestial whispers that make the silhouettes soft, delicate and more beautiful.
The collection features fabrics like silk organza, chiffons, lace, sheers, tulles, velvets, muslin and more that blend into the forms that cover the body. With looks that have been crafted to flatter the body, the collection did not miss out on flashes of skin – thanks to the see-through and whispery materials. Then they are further embellished with detailed embroideries including those that replicate swans according to the theme. Flowers are created through a skilful play on the fabrics. There are beautiful natural feathers. More feathers are imitated through the use of silks.
The collection reflected light and mimics the hues of both sunsets and of early sunrises. They create mysterious shadows through the folds of the pleats and are enhanced further by the pearls, crystals and more.
